Imperium Maledictum continues its recent swath of releases with the equipment book- Macharian Requisition Guide! This 128 page book gives GMs and Players alike a bevy of new options including equipment of all shapes, weapons, armor, services, augmetics, and even a bunch of vehicles! This book expands on many parts of character creation from the core rulebook and allow you to further customize and refine your character (or NPCs!).

Be Prepared
New equipment means new weapons and armor, most Players’ favorite part of RPGs! Some of my favorites include mining tools like Heavy Rock Cutter, Heavy Rock Drill, and the Heavy Rock Saw! These things will literally tear their opponent apart, so watch out! Each of these new weapons include a paragraph describing them and their uses (some even out of combat!). Ranged weapons get tons of love as well, like the classic Multi-melta! I once had a party grab one of these in the first edition of Dark Heresy and one-shot a boss! With over 20 new ranged weapons we get some really specialized stuff like Seismic and Deluge Fluid Cannons! These sound truly disgusting, but awesome.
With new weapons, you need to bullets to shoot with them, of course. Three new ammunitions are included, Amputator Rounds, CX-19 Web Agent, and Promethium Rounds. I can’t wait to ambush players with these, I hope they have the solars for prosthetics! We’ve also got new grenades, explosives, and weapon modifications to make sure your character is truly unique.

With weapons, naturally, comes armor. Protective equipment is especially important in Imperium Maledictum, as combat is extremely dangerous. Seven new suits of armor, including ‘Darkshroud’ Flak Armor and Protection Suits, are introduced in this book, as well as modifications to refine the armor. Like the weapons, every new entry has its own description and often images.
Vroom Vroom

Vehicles are a huge part of the Macharian Requisition Guide, with expanded rules, damage tables, parts for repairs, even their own critical hits tables! Vehicles come in a few types as well, with wheeled, tracked, walkers, and fliers. Grav vehicles are rare enough that they have their own section of rules, as they’re typically used by the Adeptus Astartes, but a few simpler machines can find their way outside the Space Marines.
But What Can You Do For Me?

Voidtravel, a near-must-have in a sci-fi game is included in the chapter on Services. Want to take a Merchant Fleet Transport to another system? Sure! But it’ll cost you. Awesome tables here include various ships a Party can get a ride on, their costs, and even potential Warp Encounters!
If your game doesn’t leave the planet it starts on, there are plenty of ways to get around. Each kind of world featured in IM has travel described, with various costs and times included.
Finally, Hirelings can join the Party to help out, again for a price. If a certain niche needs to be filled, hire a Pilot, or a Local Guide to help you out. Make sure to treat them well though, or else their Loyalty might slip and make more problems than their worth!

Medicae, Communication, even Research can be hired out. Whatever the Party can’t (or won’t) do themselves can be bought with a few solars.
What Can I Get Out of It?
Tons of new character options, besides the equipment above, are included. More Boons and Liabilities for Patrons, are a God-Emperor send for GMs. Players get access to new Talents as well. Downtime has gotten more exciting with additional Endeavors, too!
Finally, the Appendices expand on some of the esoteric aspects of life in the Imperium. New explanations on the rule of Law, including a large Local Enforcement table breathe new life into officers like the Adeptus Arbites. New Quirks and Deficiencies also add new flair and excitement to equipment and vehicles.
The tome ends with the story of the man who collected all the information found herein. Auditor Apsilon Decantus has a fun story about his life’s work in collecting and cataloging all the data.
All in all, this book is an auto-buy for those that want to get more out of their Imperium Maledictum games. The new options expand the game so much that it should be on everyone’s shelf.
